Jon discovered his passion for music at an early age. At the tender age of seven, he began recieving piano lessons. He would regularly play piano for his church congregation who was never dissapointed. But after just six short months, his teacher moved out of state, leaving him behind at the novice level; Jon was young, so he decided that he was forever done with music. Little did he know that music would come knocking on his door eight years later.
At the age of 15, Jon once again rekindled his love for music. He began playing piano again, teaching himself everything he had once learned, and more. It was not long before he wrote his first song at the age of 15 1/2. During this period, Jon worked heavily on his vocal ability, as well as his song writing ability. It was at the age of 16 that Jon decided that if he could play the piano, then why not try to play the guitar? The young musician begged his father to buy him a guitar. At the age of 16 , Jon began to teach himself to play guitar on a $30 guitar that his father had purchased for him at a yard sale.Ever since then, Jon has experimented with songwriting, singing and a wide variety of musical instruments. Now, 23, Jon is a growing singer/songwriter/musician who is proud to say that he can play the piano, guitar, bass, harmonica and drums. With a second album on the way, regular gigs at cafe's, halls and school campuses, this musician is pursuing his dream to spread his gift with the world.
