Penis Power is definately and intriguing and brash title. I was immediately takin by surprise by the topic. This song was about the battle of the sexes and end the end turned out be a really dope song. The only thing that really bothered me was the thought of a man singing penis. RA reminds me a lil of new york rapper Saigon. I havent heard enough from either so i cant tell u whose better but RA can definately Be on top if he continues the hard work and motivation he currently has.Post 4Keron Victor (no network) wrote

first of all.. the title jus grabs your attention, makes you curious to find out either what nonsense (humour) you gonna hear next or what creativity the song has to offer.. for me (and im sure many others) it is the latter..
some may find it sexist, but i gather that it tells of a certain 'species' of females.. ie.. the song doesn't talk about the those ambitious/successful/truthful(lol)/etc women out there, it refers to 'those..' thus i didnt feel sorry for 'those' the song referred to (lol)..
nice use of a classical/vintage beat... orinigal.. fresh.. cant really seem to associate it with others.. or should i say, cant really associate others with it! strangely i was lookin out for a brigde or something as the beat's constant throughout.. but then again the sample was probably good enuff..
thumbs up dre (3.5/5)Post 5Chan Sandy (Trinidad and Tobago) replied to Rachelle's post

With the opening sentence of "if you really want to earn your man, you need to learn your man" this song grabs your attention form the start. As the song continues it teases your curiosity further. It develops into the all infamous, but, never tiresome battle between Venus and mars, men and women. The female speaker who introduces the song gives the female perspective of the symbolism of penis power and how some men Lord their "extensions" over some women’s vulnerability to good sex or good love making as the case may be. She is like the girlfriend that can smell bullshit a mile away and for some women who seem to always find themselves in the position of consoling themselves after their man has just walked out the door; she is the voice of reason. But no battle is complete without the other opponent. This is where we introduce the male vocalist. He represents the voice of men and openly brags about his penis power and his prowess over women. He doesn’t just rap about the usual topic of how many women he sexes or how many rugs he cuts when the unsuspecting boyfriends isn't looking. Instead his story unfolds to reinforce his position by saying he'd been wronged so he's simply playing the game like we females do...two can play that game!!With all the drama unfolding within the song, one must admit that the easy flow of the vocals keeps you from scrunching up your nose and saying "buh how he sounding so". The rapper's voice is smooth over the beat, which itself has a laid back feel to it. This allows you to vibe to the beat but at the same time the vibe isn't so crazy and upbeat that you miss the two sided story in the song. The arrangements within the beat itself give you more than one feature to focus on. So if your one that thrives on the intricacies of a beat then this song gives you something to work with.In all good things there is always room for improvement. On this note some work should be done on the tightness of the background vocals not so much in harmonizing but mainly in giving life to the song. Simple phrases such as "oh girl" should maintain the essence of the song and still be able to exude the vibe felt throughout the rest of the song. Also as much as consistency is integral for a good foundation in life, in a beat it can create a sense of boredom if a song is heard repetitively. The aim is to have a lasting impact every time the song is heard. With this said some amendments can be made to the parts of the song when the female speaker's voice is heard. Not only would this add to the intricacies of the beat but it would help those sections of the song to stand out more, not so much as it stands apart form the flow of the song but so much as it flows as another level of the song.Overall on a scale of 1-10 I rate this song a 7. It’s intriguing, it's smooth and it's truthful. So for all those men who Lord their penis power and for those women who are victims of such power you should definitely tune in.Post 8Andre Stewart wrote

‘Penis Power’ by RA and OFFWhat happens when you link up with a shorty and have your fun waxin’, but find out that you’re being played from the start? Do the obvious, write a song and get your revenge. As RA explains, “Can’t be a ho on Thursday and a Nun on Sundayâ€. With OFF’s beat finesse, he starts the song off with the already classic Youtube “Penis Power†video sample with some soul’d out vocal snippets by Max. He then hands off the relay to RA to build off the original message of the song being that nothing comes without consequence. On the cusp of that boom-bap tip and Kanye style production, ‘Penis Power’ comes in correct with cohesive sample structure , beat production and lyrical content.Review by KidGusto -- 8.0/10

In today's Hip-Hop it's more important to show everybody how much money the record label gave you, how flashy your car and ice is, how many girls you paid to be in your video, and basiclly turn a passionate form of music into a contest of who's bigger and better. With lyrics by R.A. and Max and the beat by OFF, "Penis Power" takes you back to a time when Hip-Hop was full of emotion and raw energy. It's refreshing to hear a Hip-Hop song that doesn't give into the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, but instead stays true to what Hip-Hop is supposed to be about. The song is a must hear and it shows the promise that these talented musicans have and hopefully the start to careers in music that will not make you want to shake your ass, but instead make you use your mind and think.
