Official Bio:Eric Pahl’s addictive, edgy sets have burned up dance floors from Los Angeles and San Francisco, to New York, and across the Great Atlantic in London, Paris, and Madrid to name only a few. Critically acclaimed DJ and Producer Funk D’Void says of Eric, "I remember hearing him for the first time at one of his *estate parties and thinking "holy shit, who is this guy? This is my kind of music - a genuine breath of fresh air..." Pahl has shared the stage with Mr. D’Void himself, New York’s DJ Spun of Rong Music, Rob Mello, Andy Cato of Groove Armada... Other notables include Jef K, DJ Shade, Steve Kotey of Chicken Lips, Lance Desardi, Vincenzo, Simon Baker, Elmar Schubert, Brett Johnson, John Howard, Davide Squillace, and legendary techno artist Ritchie Hawtin have all shared the stage with Eric’s energy-filled freestyle sets.
Eric is currently polishing his much anticipated first record “Lovin’ Itâ€, due out in the Winter of 2008, on Barcelona based Justified Cause Recordings. When he’s not in the studio, he continues to keep himself sharp at the *estate parties, a monthly underground smash which he co-founded to blend some of the finest names in House music. He pulls out all the stops in his dynamic, deep, and dirty sets full of raw energy, which have been critically acclaimed by Mixmag to be “the best underground party in Barcelona†four years running.
Influenced by his upbringing in Los Angeles, and classically trained at an early age in piano, Eric quickly turned his focus to underground hip-hop and dance. His first international success came as nightly Resident of the raucous “Whites†after party; eventually closed down by the Spanish Police for too many reasons to list here. He then established a few Residencies in Barcelona – *estate, La Macarena, Fonfone, City Hall, etc... – playing underground house and tech-house mixed with classic old cuts, honing his craft while bringing countless smiles to the dance floor.
His upcoming record releases “Lovin’ It†and "All Night" (out now on URBANTORQUE) include work with Steve Ferrand of Andy Cato’s Pack Up and Dance and Dessous Recordings. Ranging from feel-good deep vibes to techy, late-night club action, the spectrum is open wide... which is just the way he likes it.
