I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)Raised in one of the most crime infested cities in California, DA Dame is one of the most aspiring artists that the city has to offer. Brought up as the middle child of a family of five, he has come a long way. As a product of one of the toughest neighborhoods in Oakland, he learned quickly that survival had to be one of the most important facts of life. Dealing with the streets was one thing but family life at home was a complete other. Dealing with his fathers drug use and being the only boy in the family there was no mystery in how he was given his rap name. His mother always told him that he was a defiant ass child when he didn't listen to her in certain situations. As a young artist who has been at this for eight years, his ultimate goal in the rap game is to change music by crossing boundary lines that need to be crossed by West Coast artist. During the time that he released his first album entitled The Rough Draft in 2001, he knew that he was going to have to do something to enhance his creativity in his lyrics. While working on his upcoming album that will be labeled Big Bizne$$ he feels that he has broadened his lyrical skills by painting pictures of the lyrics other than just writing songs. While thriving on his philosophy to get money but to do so in a smart manner, DA Dame states that" anything that is worth having is not going to be easy to obtain. I always keep in mind that it is so easy to do wrong, but so hard to do right. "With this said, its no wonder why he feels that the only way to make it in this game is to put in hard work and many hours in order to even be able to compete with the best there is. He also says I don't like to write my lyrics based off of fiction. I like to write them based off of facts. Although creativity is enhanced by fiction, so all lyricists use some form of it at some point, including myself, but for the most part I like to write the majority of my raps based on my reality and experiences. I know that the real ones out there will feel me and the real hustlers will respect it. You can't hustle a hustler! So instead of filling my raps with expensive dreams and caviar wishes, I respect the hustle, and write the majority of my flows from my own personal experiences. So with that said my main concern is for people to respect me and what I am trying to do and promoteD.A. interviewAs an unsigned artist it is hard to try to get on in the game. There are thousands of people that rap and a lot of them have what it takes, but only half of a handful will be chosen to prove their skills and get signed to a record label. Now with all of the obstacles there are, he thinks that the best way to get on is independently. So that is the route he is taking. His future endeavors are dropping his upcoming mixtape album Street Politics aand his group project 510 off of B.I.G Records. So stay tuned for this very multi-talented young artist escalating from the streets. The only thing that DA Dame wants more than a chance to blow in order to promote his music is to let everyone know that they should be themselves. Don't be afraid to say whats on your mind because that is exactly what he does and will continue to do. He strives for greatness and keeps a positive and incredible blast of charisma. All you can do is respect it.
