When you hear about this artist Glamma, it is not about fashion, it is about loving, caring, understanding and joy.Born the seventh day of September 1967 the son of Miss Mae Van Horne, first realized his talent when he got an opportunity to perform at various stage shows and Dance Hall events in Jamaica.Robert Anthony Pinnock A.K.A. Glamma was well received in the musical fraternity with his conscious and realistic lyrics that he continuously expresses to the public, and as a result he has been observed with respect by various key players in the record industry. Subsequently it took time and dedication and lots of sacrifices for him to release his first single titled Jump Up for the Harry J label. This was a turning point for this young and upcoming artists career, which got a chance to express his talent and deliver his message to the Caribbean listener ship. The single appeared on the music charts in the Bahamas and was played in England on various radio stations. However success was not evident and Glamma continued working.Glamma as he is affectionately known to the Music industry began to blossom with the release of other singles such as Status on the Time One recording label which was distributed by Pow Wow Records in New York and also Gwaan Good Gal for Observer Records that was distributed by Sonic Sounds the leading distributor for reggae music in the region.The song, Gwaan Good Gal at that time, was Glammas most accomplished single out of his collection of songs because it was recorded on the popular rhythm that Shabba Ranks recorded Trailer Load of Girls which took the world by a storm in the early 1990s. Evidently it was the song which propelled Shabba Ranks to receiving a Grammy Award in the international music arena.Glammas mentors in the Dance Hall Music Industry include non other than Brigadier Jerry and Lone Ranger, who in their time were exceptionally outstanding icons. Being inspired by these artists Glamma decided to pursue this career. Over the years he has honed his skills and has never looked back.Work Dem Good is produced by Seretse on the Griot Music Label.
