Popsicle Productions is an aspiring concert booking agency, stemming from one girl 's love of helping out great bands. That girl is me, and because of this love, one thing I can promise is that I will always be fiercely loyal to the bands I book for - this means I will never drop you for a "better" opportunity; I will never leave you high and dry; I will never screw you over. The most important thing to me is having friendship and love in the business. If that's gone, I quit.
I dabble in design, too, so keep an eye out. The things I draw are simple and child-like, but also cute and creative. I do them mostly for fun, but I'd absolutely be willing to design something for you if you wanted me to. I also recommend Dylan Rupert Designs .
The idea of concert promotion appeals to me, as well! I'd especially be up for heading a creative online campaign of sorts. I guess it's all part of the package.
I moderate the MySpace for a lovely, lovely band called Math and Physics Club . I run it with the main goal of providing friendliness and real live responses to all fans (friends!).I am a new writer for the marvelous Three Imaginary Girls . I provide reviews for CDs and all-ages concerts. I'm just starting, but you can be sure to see more reviews by "imaginary chelsea" in the very near future!
One project I'm working on right now is planning a popfest in Seattle to take place in summer of 2007. It will be called Pop Picnic, and it will be a blast! Let me know if you're interested in playing, but keep in mind that while I'm open to working with any genre, this particular fest is for indie pop only.
POP PICNIC UPDATE!!!
I regret to announce that POP PICNIC IS CANCELED for the time being. As many of you may have heard, Atlas Clothing and Music (the venue where Pop Picnic was to be held) was recently shut down by the fire department. Atlas was a fantastic venue, and I'm incredibly sad to see it go (check out Atlas' MySpace page for information on how to help)! It was out of my hands; I scrambled around for a replacement venue, but with only two weeks left until the scheduled date of the fest, this proved impossible. I am, however, looking to move Pop Picnic to mid- to late-September, so stay tuned for more information! My sincerest apologies to anyone who was hoping to attend Pop Picnic on July 13th and 14th, but please do be on the lookout for September popfest dates!
My name is Chelsea. Let's be friends!
