I guess most of you checking out this site already know me. I moved to Lafayette, Indiana from Kearney, Nebraska when I was 6 years old. I went to Klondike Elementary and Middle schools, Harrison High School, and later, I graduated from Purdue University's School of Nursing in December of 2001. While at Purdue I became quite attached to my friend's roommate Nick (who also happened to be one of my high school classmates), and proceeded to follow him around after graduation until I convinced him that he wanted to marry me. We were married in May of 2003 and now live in a fun little loft apartment in downtown St. Louis with our two cats, Marvel and Zoey. After about 2 years of trying to start a family, we were excited to find out on Mother's Day of 2006 that we were expecting. In June, we found out we were going to be having twins. In August, we learned that it will be a boy and a girl. We are now spending most of our time figuring out how we are going to do this and using our current free time to our advantage. Our babies are due on January 19th; the same day as our first date, 6 years ago. *********** The babies have arrived! Sophia and Oliver are both adorable and doing well. Born on December 21st at 11:52 and 11:53 respectively they weighed 5lbs. 14oz. and 5lbs. 7oz. both were 19 inches. We got to take the babies home with us on Christmas day, the best gift ever! I will keep everyone updated with photos and stories. *********The babies were 14 months old yesterday and are lovin' life. They are about two seconds away from walking and are babbling to each other constantly. We are loving Seattle. Today it was sunny and 55 degrees. We finally bought our first house when we moved here and I am realizing what a huge chore it is to keep up a household. I am missing working but loving staying home with the twins. I joined a Mom's group and we meet for a weekly playgroup and other activities throughout the week. Nick loves working for Amazon.com and being downtown in the "big city". We can't wait for summer!
