Welcome to my myspace music page!
Strange New Flesh is my personal musical project.
Started in June 2001 with a set of original Progressive Rock material that was distributed among family and friends.
Earlier recordings (covers and original material) date back as far as 1992 and lots of covers were recorded between 2001 and 2003.
Upon getting hold of a rare 1976 monophonic Hammond Synthesizer in August 2001, I changed the musical direction and went retro analogue!
Currently I am busy playing bass guitar, keys and singing in the vintage Prog/Rock band Medusa !
Also, I am the lead singer in the Austrian Rhythm & Soul cult outfit It's A Snip .
While focusing on Medusa, new solo material, both Progressive and Analog-Electronic is currently being arranged for recording.

Sounds Like:
THE SONGS:
"Outer Space"
Recorded during the same sessions that produced "Analogue Sex" and
"My Name is..." back in 2003. All sounds (except drums) performed on
the 102200! The opening figure on the hi-hat is a hommage to "Heavy Tune" by Pierre Moerlen's Gong.
"My Name is 102200": Double-Oh-Seven meets the Hammond Synthesizer - recorded in 2003. Again, all sounds (except drums) performed on the 102200!
"L'Amour Synthetique" is another song from the 2003 recording sessions. Contrary to the other tracks, the rhythm track was performed on the Casio SK-1 - all other sounds on the Hammond Synthesizer.
"Analogue Sex"
A melody close to Serge Gainsbourg/Jane Birkin's "Je t'aime (moi non plus)" meets ooohs and aaaahs Duran Duran "All She Wants is" -style performed by myself (yeah, really) and sampled on the Casio SK-1!
"Manfred" was recorded in 2006 and borrows heavily without stealing (!) from well known Manfred Mann melodies.
"March'alogue Ratootsky" is pretty annoying... but I like it!
