I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I was born and raised in Phoenix. I have 1 brother who is 2 yrs younger than me. Oddly enough, and for better or worse, my parents are still married. I graduated from North Canyon High School & attended some college, but when I still hadn't decided on a major 4 years into it I figured I should save my money. I became an EMT and am currently a 911 operator for the Phoenix Fire Department. I adore my job. It's something new & exciting everyday. I spent my free time writing and painting like every good lesbian does. I also spend waaay to much time at the bar. But, hey, my liver's still young & they can be replaced, right? I should probably look into that.

My Interests

Causing riots @ my favorite lesbo bar with my kick ass vocal stylings @ karaoke. (Girls really, stop all the fighting. There is more than enough of me to go around.) I love the Baltimore Orioles but still cheer for the Diamondbacks too. I'm a Chicago Bears fan & still think that the AZ Cardinals will someday get their due. Not a huge fan of basketball, unless it's chicks playing... Go Mercury!

Movies:

Do you want my top 10? - 1. (tie) The Quiet Man & A Year of Living Dangerously 2. Tod Browning's Freaks 3. The Meaning of Life 4. Blade Runner 5. Brazil 6. Pi 7. Fight Club 8. Mallrats 9. The Life of Brian 10. Indiana Jones (all of them) - of course this is always subject to change, depending on the phase of the moon & my hormones.

Television:

All my favorite shows are cartoons & since I don't want to look like a complete idiot, I'm not going to list them. Alright... FINE! Um, Family Guy, Simpsons, Morel Orel, The Boondocks, any thing on Adult Swim, any show that involves midgets or circus freaks, the crazy food challenges on the Food Channel, Maximum Exposure, & the Most Extreme Challenge show... ha ha ha, crazy Asians.

Books:

"The Idiot Girls Action Adventure Club", "Tales Of A Fat Bride", "I Love Everybody (& Other Atrocious Lies)", & "We Thought You'd Be Prettier" - all by Laurie Notaro * "Lamb" - Christopher Moore * "To Kill A Mockingbird" - Harper Lee * "Catcher In The Rye" - JD Sallinger * "A Long Dark Tea Time Of The Soul" - Douglas Adams * "Dharma Bums" - Jack Kerouac *

Heroes:

My Grandfather, Tom "Snuffy" Schwindt, was the greatest man that ever lived. He thought of everyone else before himself, he loved my crazy Grandma with every fiber of his being, raised 2 fairly well adjusted daughters & did it all sober. If I am but a fraction of the human he was, I know I'm a good person. My Dad & brother are firefighters. I am completely awed by the heroicism that comes with that selfless job & the degree with which my 2 guys perform it. My Mom is an angel - mostly for putting up w/ our shit for so long w/ such a genuine smile.

My Blog

Random thoughts that go through my head...

How many people could I fit in my car?....How many midgets could I fit in my car?...Probably twice as many...Unless they are dwarves, those fuckers have big heads...But then my car would smell like li...

When did my Mom get old?

I almost lost my Mom this week. Not in a "where did she go?" kinda way. More of a frightening and indelible kind of way. Now I know there are people who will read this whose Mother's have passed away ...

Traffic Lights in Foreheads

So if I can't read the signs, how am I supposed to know if it's a go? If I get a touch on the arm & a polite laugh at a dumb joke, I can move in for the kill right? But then when you talk about an...
