The music of HEIMDALLARGALDR feels, to us, more religiously close to a sacred rite put to sound and we hope that some of this primal energy will reach your heart as well as it's might will be cast in the multiverse for you to grasp.The music of HEIMDALLARGALDR must be viewed as a contemporary representation of old Heathen values and Traditions of our Northern European ancestors, although these Traditions are in fact eternal and have never disappeared, they have nonetheless been greatly neglected by our folk. This is not "Neo-folk music" for there is nothing new in essence in HEIMDALLARGALDRs concept. Our Traditions, our Culture and our Heritage are the life-blood of our people and though the times have changed and the world has evolved, those ancestral values have remained integral and true to the Heathen hearts.In the creative process of HEIMDALLARGALDRs music, the idea was to keep away from the previously done folk/ambient genre. The use of modern technologically advanced instruments such as keyboards was utterly deleted. The desire to keep the most Traditional feeling possible in concept, ambiance and tools, was something very important to the entire creative process and overall spirit of the the music. The percussions are made using various pieces of drums, celtic tambourine, sticks, etc. The only "FX" are nature sounds and samples of battles.The vocals are generally magical runic Skaldic chants also called Galdrar in old Norse. Other songs have English words but most of HEIMDALLARGALDRs music is instrumental and captures the epic folkish atmosphere sought after initially. The whole must be considered as a ritual, for there is a great amount of energy in the tribal rhythms and Galdr songs. The whole creative part as well as the recording sessions are conducted as a ritual under the proper Runic forces and of course, in the presence of the High ones of Asgardhr.The name means the songs(spells) of Heimdallr. Being one of the most revered of the Germanic Gods, Heimdallr, his the watcher, the guardian of the realm of Asgardhr and also the bearer of Gjallarhorn, with which he will announce the beginning of the Ragnarok. He his the embodiment of the sacred flame and omnipresent uplifting Odian consciousness: that which strives ever after the highest. Although, the symbolic manifestations of all the Gods and Goddesses are present within the concept and music of HEIMDALLARGALDR. Note that the A rune (Ansuz) as well as the L rune (Laguz) are tripled. Three being a powerful numerical force in the Runo-esoteric concept. The Ansuz rune , that of Wotans first power: poetry and keeper of Odhreorir, the mead of inspiration. Ansuz is a stave that opens the subconscious to receive and transmit artistic inspiration. It opens links of communications: earthly and magical. It is the rune which rules the power of Galdr-magic the runic chanting and the breath of life bestowed by Wotan. The Ansuz rune is greatly used for creative inspiration and for the reception of Wotanic might. It opens the doors of self-expression.
The Laguz rune is the rune of the primal waters holding yeast and venom at the lowest level of the Well of Wyrd, the river flowing from Hvergelmir. One of the primordial element of creation. The seething-cauldron. It is a rune of concealment and the unknown, also the symbol of life brought forth from the darkness and the hidden brought to the light. A transition rune used to strengthen and to bind other runes and send their powers between worlds.HEIMDALLARGALDR is Embla and Vjohrrnt V.
