About Me

I am a long-time computer user but my page is pretty plain and simple right now.
I design custom homes, additions and remodels, and teach computer drafting and design classes for interior design students.
An ex- youth soccer coach and referee, I hope to coach another team again soon, burn off some extra calories, and have fun with a whole new group of kids!

My Interests

Cool Architecture. Astronomy. Flight, especially Spaceflight. Geeky gadgets. Cooking, grilling, experimenting and learning how to prepare unusual food, particularly seafood, Asian fare, Chinois, Japanese, Thai and Sushi. Perfect fluffy blueberry pancakes, inventing new omelettes. Thunder, lightning, hail, wind, any severe precipitation. Being outside in the middle of it all. Current events and political discourse. Laughing, especially at current events and political discourse...

I'd like to meet:

Not looking for anyone, but I do like to interact with intelligent, honest and funny people, just to email or chat and share cool stuff with.
In terms of famous or heroic figures, my list would contain: Jacques Cousteau, Carl Sagan, Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Frank Lloyd Wright, Buckminster Fuller, Ronald Reagan, Arthur C. Clarke, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, John Glenn, Story Musgrave, Sally Ride, John Denver, Frank Zappa, more to come...

Music:

It might be easier to say what I do not like... Opera or boring classical music. Nightclub jazz in the daytime. Stoner/Hippie/Folk Kum-by-yah campfire music, or any other vapid tinny random psychadelic meanderings found on your local lame-ass 'classic rock' station. Most of all, i despise any and ALL sociopathic rap; urban crime-glorifying crack and ho's hip-hop bling pimpin' "gangsta" hat on sideways bullshit...See my blog for just a few examples of what I do/did like?

Movies:

Special effects movies with dinosaurs or aliens or race cars or jets and UFO's flyin' 'round real fast and shootin' lasers and stuff blowin' up real good an' makin' cool sounds on the surround!
Oh, and 50 First Dates... ;-)

Television:

Jeopardy. Family Guy. Anything with Chef Gordon Ramsey. My TV idols are: Julia Child & Jacques Pepin, Martin Yan, Rachel Ray, Frank Barone, Hank Hill, Steve Irwin, Stewie Griffin (and Brian the dog), Bender the bending Robot, Al Bundy, Homer Simpson, Sam Mallone, Dr. Gregory House, and Hal from Malcolm in the Middle...

Heroes:

My amazing Daughter, her cool Coaches, and especially her awesome Team-Mates! 3-Peat California Youth Soccer Association-North State Champions! Such skilled athletes with delightfully tacky, yet unrefined personalities (inside joke...) I learned and gained so much from every one of them.

My Blog

In Honor of Michael Monsoor, a Real American hero...

I can’t really say just why, but this story caught my eye 2 years ago, and I clipped and saved the newspaper article about this brave young man’s heroism and sacrifice.  It was refres...

My Music - Page 2

This was way too long for the profile page, so I just listed groups or artists I happen to like - be they One-Hit-Wonders or established Hall-Of-Famers. Everything From A to Z, but in no particular or...
