I am here for Friends

About Me

Just another goth girl living in a corporate world.I think, I dream, but mostly I just am.I could go on about what I like, what I do, but really at the core I'm like anyone else, I want respect, love, and a purpose to this life.I once was sad/depressed/excessively mopey, but now I'm not.I wear black like it's an old friend.I pursue beauty in all its forms.I believe most of the important things in life are transitory, fragile and beautiful.

My Interests

Bellydance (yoga-fusion whatever we call whatever it is Rachel Brice does) Science fiction (Dr. Who, Bablon 5, Star Trek) Girls kicking ass shows (Charmed, Buffy, Xena) Yoga Philosophy Existentialism Zombies and vampires. Generally, the goofier the better. :) Then end of the world. The end of the universe.

I'd like to meet:

Vincent Price Alan Watts Shiva Rea

Music:

Music with spirit, music with a beat. Dead Can Dance, OP, Android Lust, I, Parasite, Solace, Bel Canto, London After Midnight, Karsh Kale, Midival Punditz, many more.

Movies:

horror and '80s camp, though I like a wide range. Favorites include (in no particular order) Contact, The Dark Crystal, The Exorcist, Vampire's Kiss, The Adventures of the Baron Munchausen, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Television:

Charmed, Babylon 5, Sherlock Holmes (jeremy brett), Boston Legal, Arrested Development, Police Squad, Sex and the City

Books:

Anything by Guy Gavriel Kay. Also I used to love the Anita Blake series by Laurell Hamilton, but I've kind of gotten turned off by the sluttiness. Books by Carl Sagan.I also plan to write two books, "The Five Stages of Immortality", a treatise on the five common stages of acceptance of immortality and "How Goth Saved Me" an autobiography of learning how to get over oneself. One's self being me.

Heroes:

Dorothy Porter. Alan Watts. Rachel Brice. Shiva Rea, I know she sounds New Agey with the drops of nectar and all, but somehow I believe it.

New Music

I was in Shakti the other day, and on a whim I picked up Karsh Kale' Broken English CD.  I really like it, except for the first song.  (I'm not a fan of rap).  I've really been looking ...
