About Me

Once again it's been months & months since I've updated this profile. Frankly, I spend more time on "another social networking site" although I don't update that one very often either. <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> CURRENT PROJECTS: <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><> I have very few public projects going on at the moment. No plays, no gigs, just some audio production for Inner Sight (www.innersightonline.com), and some other behind-the-scenes type work. <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> Hey, folks, this is a pretty interesting kind of alternative art & music organization: www.daytoncircus.org. I started to join way back but got too busy with other junk... <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> Kind of bored with photography at the moment. There may be a few packages of my notecards left in the Glen Helen Shop but I'm not sure if I'm going to try to keep that up or not. <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> I'm a musician and sound designer/sound engineer, sometime photographer, occasional writer. I haven't been playing out much in the last year. I've kind of lost interest in things I've done before and I'm trying to figure out how to get something new going, while still working full time and doing these other sound techie projects. I have a pretty cool music production setup centered around Sonar 8 software (www.cakewalk.com), which has taken me a long time to get comfortable with but I think I've almost turned the corner toward being able to use it as a creative tool instead of fighting with the sometimes cryptic and quirky interface... .. type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="all" height="230" width="445" data="http://lads.myspace.com/slides/photoslider.swf?u=10215 5747"> .. .. .. .. .. <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><>< ><><><><><><><> I'm happiest outdoors. If I don't get outside sometime during the day, no matter what the weather, I feel unclean. I like bicycling, canoeing and kayaking, camping, hiking, and I've tried windsurfing and paragliding but haven't had opportunity to pursue them. (BTW real sports don't need motors). I haven't had time to do most of these things in the last few years and I'm hoping to remedy that pretty soon, one way or the other. Philosophically, I have some serious reservations about the direction of our (so-called) civilization and am trying to find the knowledge and community to find alternative ways to survive and/or thrive.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Cool musicians, artists, thinkers, backstage miracle workers; people with an interest in or knowledge of the technology of sustainability - permaculture, micropower, ecovillages, etc. Sufis, Zennists, pantheists, Pagans, Unitarians, Gurdjieffians, freethinkers and apostates of all shapes and sizes.

My Blog

Working guy

OK, so after a week at this, I'd have to say it mostly agrees with me.  Hard to say how I'll feel after a year or two, but I'm up and down ladders all day and crawling around in ceiling and insid...

Got a JOB!!

Ok, after almost a year, I just started a regular day job again.  Lots of soul-searching and budget-crunching went into the decision, but it boils down to:> When I quit my job, I was pretty sure ...
