Jungee Marcelo started composing original tunes at a very young age. He is the son of two ordained ministers, the Rev. Proceso Marcelo, Sr. and Pastora Celia Herrera Marcelo, the latter of whom was highly instrumental in translating the Holy Bible from the original Hebrew and Greek to Tagalog. His first "hit" song came very early in his life, a song entitled Pintong Mahiwaga, based on Revelation 3:20. It became an instant favorite amongst the Filipino Christian community, even extending to the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines later on. Since then, he has written scores of songs (including Sa Yahweh Ang Sayaw & Hataw Na for Gary Valenciano, & for other major artists: Regine Velasquez, Side A, Jaya, Christian Bautista, Paolo Santos, Pops Fernandez, Sarah Geronimo, Nyoy Volante, Jolina Magdangal, Lani Misalucha, Heart Evangelista, Aiza Seguera, Lloyd Umali, Carol Banawa, Ray-an Fuentes, Samantha Chavez, Francis M, Bituin Escalante, Dessa, among others), produced over 50 albums (including the popular Papuri! albums), did commercial jingles & network theme music (Palmolive Naturals, Manila Bulletin, Tupperware, Pepsi, Dunkin Donuts, Game KNB ABS-CBN, etc.), won songwriting competitions (Metropop1997 Grand Prize, Asia Festival, Shanghai Music Festival, Philippine International Song Festival - PARI, Himig Handog sa Kabataan, Himig Handog sa Bayani, Pinoy Musika, Levi Celerio Songfest, Office of the Ombudsman Anti-Corruption Song Competition, etc.), awarded citations (AWIT Awards, KATHA Awards, Office of the President DECS GAWAD DANGAL - LIRIKO, FISCAP Recognition, CBAP GAWAD MANGGAGAWA, etc.), and head coached the National Hiphop Teams (Philippine Allstars, The Crew, & UP Street) Philippines to Gold (Phlippine Allstars, led by Kenjhons Serrano) at the 2006 Hip Hop International World Championships; not to mention, is currently the president of the Philippine Hiphop Dance Federation. He has also guested & hosted on the Christian television broadcast of 700 Club & radio programming of FEBC's 702 DZAS in the Philippines. Jungee is currently also a fitness instructor at Gold's Gym Philippines; presents at fitness seminars nationwide on hiphop exercise & indoor cycling. He still does quite a lot of music production (albums, jingles & musical scoring).
