About Me

none of the bandmembers runs this profile. it´s just some kinda tribute to this inimitable band from canada.
they were one of the sickest, sludgiest, fucked in the head hardcore bands to ever grace the stereo, acrid were a gem, and "eighty-sixed" is the highlight of their short career.
acrid were just a group of hardcore kids, and one girl; alexandra lamoureux- bass; who forsake the positive messaging and punk themed anthemic songwriting of traditional hardcore to deliver extremely distorted, sludgy, sick, grinding metal. no other hardcore group ever came close to the destruction that acrid laid to wax. no sing alongs, no breakdowns, no poppy interludes, just scathing, scary metal, and vocals delivered straight from hell. high, low, distorted, strangled as fuck, glass in the larynx vocals of neil rodman.
