From the South East side of Houston lies the band Operation Shock & Awe. O.S.A. was originally a project started by Stuart Wedemeyer and John Paul Lopez. Over time intelligent, hard hitting songs were produced and the interest of formulating the project into a band grew. Terry Van Oswald III a.k.a. Virus, originally a guitarist, was asked to join the project as a singer. As time went on, O.S.A. developed three original songs that became the backbone for our bands future.
O.S.A. was put on hold during the summer of '04. For about a year, JP Stuart and Terry decided to follow a different path musically and formed a band out of a prior project called Helios. An incredible amount of effort was put into Helios, but the band never played live. After a falling out with a drummer, the remaining members of Helios decided to resurrect O.S.A.
Eric Garcia and James Dean are O.S.A.'s newest members, filling in for bass and rythm guitar. O.S.A. now has a complete member lineup, and over time formulated four more strong songs, with a total of seven. O.S.A. is a formidable force in the metal community. Striving to keep every song very tight, creative, and completely original, O.S.A. marches on to spread its might over the local Houston scene.

"This band may or may not be new on the scene. It sure isn't apparent when they perform live. This band has an overall great sound! Their music is raw, heavy, groovin' and modern. Operation Shock & Awe also has the style and image to match their sound. This band is a must see for anyone who likes heavy metal rock, with screaming vocals, alt-metal guitar riffs, and groovy bass. There songs are written well and they were executed with real passion. After seeing this band play live, I was impressed, maybe even in a state one might describe as [R]Awe. Mission accomplished!" -Ron Occhiline
