About Me

check out my rarely updated blog of dubious interest: http://noartisticmerit.blogspot.comcheck out prints and cards with my designs: ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------08/6/2007 update- have begun training for the kokoda track. Not unlike university, in that it has been one of a few vaguely considered ambitions of mine and has been on my mind more than usual of late. a bit scary to contemplate- and a long way to go to build up my endurance - but in time i will get there. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------23/5/2007 update- I am also considering pursuing my interest in genetics and also that of forensics, perhaps to degree level, who knows. Certainly what i have studied so far has only furthered my appetite....for destruction! -NO- to do good...yes...good... ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------- 5/5/2007 update- I'm currently working backstage and in various venues as a lighting designer, and really, now i've got here... im no longer so sure that the job satisfaction to chagrin ratio is worth putting up with for the rest of my life. To use a crude and vaguely suggestive analogy: Its a pain in the arse with a few brief moments of pride and satisfaction of a job well done. i guess it takes time to find out what one really wants in life, and really i should stop moaning cause alot of people dont have the luxury of choice.----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------ Also doing freelance illustration and photography, with jewellery-making and arty stuff in my spare time(a foreign concept these days, alas).I love the theatre and backstage work though at times it is draining, physically and mentally- those who know me are aware that my cognitive capacity is limited at best. I like to write... I enjoy music- making it and listening to great bands, making jewellery (silver at the moment) exploring, riding my bike, drawing, creating flash animations, photography, anything creative and varied.Am currently as far away from birmingham, england as is humanly possible without recourse to space travel. Am learning the bass and drums, (not simultaneously) lighting gigs and events, and in my spare time, indulging my re-discovered lust for the pursuit of knowledge, hitherto lain dormant due to stultifyingly dull and pointless lessons at cockshut hill technology college.---------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------future plans:degrees in Art, English Literature, philosophy and politics, visit New Zealand.---------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------
