Marko Pantelic (born September 15, 1978 in Belgrade, Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian footballer currently playing for Hertha BSC Berlin.As his son was coming up through the Red Star Belgrade youth system, Marko's father got a job in Thessaloniki and took the family with him to Greece. Marko was still only 14 years old when he signed a professional contract with Iraklis FC where he spent two and a half years. At 17 he accepted an offer from Paris Saint Germain and soon found himself training and playing alongside stars like RaÃ, Marco Simone and Leonardo. He found playing time in short supply at PSG so he moved on to FC Lausanne in Switzerland for a season scoring 14 goals in 21 league matches.Next stop was Celta Vigo, including a short loan spell at Sturm Graz.In the summer of 2002, he returns home to Serbia and attempts to negotiate a transfer to Red Star Belgrade, but that was not to be so he signed with FK Sartid from Smederevo and led the team to the Yugoslav Cup title in 2003.In January 2004, he finally signed with Red Star.
