KELLY & KELLY is a family group currently headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. This ensemble consists of siblings Ellis Kelly III, Andria Kelly, Tracey Kelly, and Rachel Kelly. Ellis natural legs are unstraightened, leaving him standing at less than 5 feet tall, yet, when he is on stage, he stands straight and tall in Gods light, and no one sees that his legs have yet to unfold.
Kelly & Kelly's roots were sown in November 1987 as a duet with eldest Andria, then 11 years old and 10 year old Ellis III. In 1991, 9 year old Rachel and Tracey, at 11 years old, added melody to the group, singing and playing the drums. Growing up in a Pentecostal home, the Kelly's were exposed to the teachings of the late Bishop Jesse Stacks, the prayers of the late Mother Estella Boyd, and the music of all the gospel legends. Now as adults, the group has matured into a distinguished sound of their own.
Since February 1996, Kelly & Kelly's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner and the Canadian National Anthem has resounded multiple NBA arenas. Shaquille O'Neal, star center of the Phoenix Suns, first requested they open at the TD Waterhouse Center for the Orlando Magic in Orlando, Florida. After that soul stirring experience, the quartet has performed for the WNBA, CBA, IHL, and various charity games including Penny Hardaway's All-Star Charity Game in Memphis, TN, the Detroit Pistons Jam Session, and Slam Jam Sports Basketball Explosion with NBA All-Star Chauncey Billups. These performances led to Kelly & Kelly being featured in the February 2001 edition of the NBA magazine Courtside. Along with their NBA performances, Kelly & Kelly has written several jingles for the Detroit Pistons, Detroit Shock, Grant Hill, Detroit Red Wings and the latest jingle, "Droppin' the Hammer," featuring Mike Winans of Winans Phase 2.
Kelly & Kelly continues to perform for various NBA organizations, numerous churches, youth events, and banquets across the country. Some of their performances include the Arnold Schwarzenegger Inner City Games, NAACP Award Banquets, Red Cross Foundation, Bobby Jones Gospel (BET and The Word Network), Jeff Majors Gospel of Music (T.V. One), Babbie's House (NRB), McDonalds Gospelfest, Special Olympics, The Southern Christian Leadership Conference, John Mason's NBA Christmas Party (NBA All-Star Game/Pistons Announcer), and the United States Air Force (AFCA) at Scott Air Force Base, IL.
Now, after many journeys, Kelly & Kelly is ready for New Beginnings!
