Welcome to the Atlanta Music Mafia! We are a group formed by some of Atlanta's hottest bands. Our mission is to support the bands, fans and friends who are part of the brotherhood that is, the ATLANTA MUSIC MAFIA. For far too long, things have been said behind closed doors. No more. If you have something to say, then say it..this is our family.
The grim reality is that our scene is segregated. We accept it and it was with that in mind that we launched the mafia. This is about a brotherhood, a family! The mafia is about loyalty! If you are a part of the mafia, we have your back and you have ours. Does the scene care about you or your band? Can you honestly say that every band in Atlanta wants you to succeed? Hell no, but the bands that are a part of the mafia will work for themselves and for those within the family.
Our intention is to look out for the people and bands within our family similar to the way the mafia looks out for their family. This is not a competition, just a formation of what we like to call "OUR FAMILY." So hate us, or love us! Here we are, THE ATLANTA MUSIC MAFIA and the family is growing daily. As we continue to grow we may eventually become large enough and powerful enough to support the entire scene but for now that is NOT our goal.
We are not a charity and we don't claim to be one! We are not asking for you to choose between the Mafia and other organizations in Atlanta. We are asking that all bands that are accepted into the mafia look out for each other. If there is trash talking, it will be addressed openly. Again, this is about loyalty and we need it from all of you to make this work. We aren't asking for money. We are simply asking for the support and loyalty of the fans, friends and bands!
When you are accepted into the family, we will ask for one member of your band to be an officer (representative). That officer and representative from your band will be responsible for promoting your shows and when possible, the shows of your brothers. Each of you will have access to the Mafia site and this will be a democratic organization that works for each other, NOT against each other. You should never see any one band, founding band or otherwise, promoted more than another band within the family from the mafia site. When you see a flyer for a brother band please try to repost it on your bands site. This family is an extension of a street team because we are supporting all the bands that are a part of the family. All bands within the family will be treated equally and again, we are working toward a common goal.
