|Mariachi "Voz de America" in Battle for La Plaza Short Film!!!!
Established in July of 1995, Mariachi Voz de America has had the privilege of entertaining audiences both locally and internationally. They have accompanied a number of international recording artists and have appeared in most of the local television stations and radio stations. They represented the City of Los Angeles in a two-week tour of Jalisco, Mexico in the annual Encuentro del Mariachi International Festival. They were representatives of the Mexican Folklore Culture in a six-week tour throughout France.Voz de America recorded its first CD in the summer 1998. They collaborated on a CD with Singer Juanita Ulloa from Oakland, Ca., scheduled for release in February 2002. They recently recorded a track for the movie entitled "Bandits," starring Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton, scheduled for release in the fall 2001 in which they were given a brief appearance in the movie. They can be seen at Our Queen of Angels Church at La Placita in Downtown Los Angeles every other Sunday afternoon at 3:00PM.
