J.Rome was born in Heidleburg Germany(yeah he is an army brat) He lata moved to Massachuets With his mother while his pops stayed in the service. Then when his dad was stationed in panama, he moved to panama city. As a child j.Rome watched his dad dj around the house and he had the music spirit in his soul at an early age. When his parents divorced, Rome moved back to North Carolina with his mom. They Moved to the Bull City Durham, North Carolina. where they lived for a few Years. Growing up Rome Sort of kept to his self. But always had an eye out for an opportunity to show off his personality at the right time. he lata moved to the small town of hillsborough, where he spent the remainder of his school years. Rome really got focused on his music in middle school because he started band. It helped him relize that music was his passion and that was what he wanted to spend his life doin. In the 8th grade Rome really started writing rymes hard,This is where he met his homeboy young C who inspired him to keep goin and doing his thing cause he saw that he had talent. They form a lil group by the name of duece gangsta's. everyday Rome neva left the house without his pen and his pad, his pen and his pad was like his heart and his soul. As time progressed Rome discovered not only did he have the talent to be a lyrisist, but also a producer. The many years in band throughout middle school and highschool help him be more aware of different patterns, sounds, tempo changes, etc. Rome then relized God truly gave him the gift of music. In highschool Rome met another young inspiring artist by the name of junior, which had a lot of talent, So Rome, Junior, and young C formed another group by the name of Tri City. They were hungary in the booth, eating every opportunity the had to shine on the mic. They made a few cd's and sold em for 3.00 a pop. They didnt care just as long as people saw how hard they were grindin and tryin to get their music poppin. People were giving good feed back. But of course life has different roads that we have to travel on and the group split up because the members moved and went to different schools but never lost contact. Now i graduate of Orange Highschool Rome is vice president of The Brand new record Label Under X-Tamated Records Under Hit'M productions which stands for History in the Making. J.Rome Is Attending the Art Institute of Atlanta where he is majoring in Audio Production and music business. This program will provide J.Rome with a solid understanding of the basic principles of sound physics as well as knowing how to use the appropriate equiptment. For me music is therapy to me; it soothes me and keeps me going. Music motivates me to enjoy life. I have been involved in the art of music for numerous years now. Lifes lessons and the lessons that music teaches you are very similar. Music teaches you hard-work, practice, dedication, and rewards creativity. While life may not always reward creativity, it does reward those other characteristics. These have transformed my perceptions. Since I entered my first band class in middle school, I have surrounded myself with music, from old school to new school, from pop and rock, to jazz and classical. These different forms of music have sparked my passion for a musical career, but they have not satisfied my hunger and desire to work in the music industry. Music is the beauty, and silence is the beast, and the audio production career is the undeniable love that holds them together. If that love is lost, then beauty has no purpose.
