Ouzo is an independent label which gathers under its wings various musicians and visual artists. Founded by Ian Lampel and Martin Teysera in the year 2004, it has evolved into an artistic collective which strives to distribute, spread and promote its music (be it through digital or physical editions), organize live shows and installations in different enviroments and scenarios, generate links with like-minded individuals or institutions and last but not least, support any kind of activity inside its field of influence which may generate positive effects. With its base of operations in Montevideo, Uruguay, the collective/label has set as its basic goal the promotion of all its artists, not only inside its home country, but specially internationally.Ouzo doesnt tie itself to any particular genre, mantaining a healthy musical diet based entirely on its own taste.
Besides releasing a new free mp3 album each month, the label is currently working on a new line of physical releases soon to come.Ouzo es un sello de música independiente que nuclea a diversos músicos y artistas visuales. Fundado en el año 2003 por MartÃn Teysera e Ian Lampel, hoy representa a un colectivo de artistas que buscan difundir y promover su música (a través de las ediciones digitales y materiales), organizar presentaciones en vivo en distintos ámbitos y escenarios, generar vÃnculos con personas o instituciones afines e impulsar cualquier tipo de actividad dentro de su campo de influencia que pueda generar efectos positivos. Con base de operaciones en Montevideo, Uruguay, el colectivo/sello Ouzo tienen como base la promoción de todos sus artistas, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.Ouzo no se ata a ningun genero en particular, manteniendo una dieta musical basada enteramente en su propio gusto. Actualmente ademas de lanzar un album nuevo por mes gratis en formato mp3 el sello se encuentra trabajando en una nueva linea de lanzamientos fisicos.
