I am a freelance guitarist and main songwriter/guitarist/vocalist for Severed Serenity www.myspace.com/severedserenity and www.severedserenity.com a Canadian metal band from Kelowna/Vernon b.c. Canada with 4 cd's under our belt , and a 5th cd being worked on now , I have also done/and do studio stuff for recording artists like : “Thor” [vocal backups,bass guitar and guitar and some tour support for him as well in 06/07] , also I have shot 2 videos with him as well “lords of steel” and “devastation of musculation” in 2006 , worked for Smogveil records for the Thor devastation album , worked for Sudden Death records for the Thor into the noise album 2007 , worked for Outlaw Recordings for the new Thor mutant re-release . I played on “New Horizon 3” [guitars on "When the world is running Down" and the heavy vocals] . studio guitar work [Emily Jones] from Northeastern Pennslyvania usa . studio work with Mike Kischnick . I also played rhythm and lead guitar in Warhag with Kurt Phillips from Witchkiller as a session player . and wrote the three “Amnos” demos 14 years ago that are floating around out there worldwide. I also have my own solo cd called "the Serenity project - by Steve Bifford” recorded in my home studio 2007 . I was also just recently nominated in the category of Instrumental artist of the year for the serenity project album 2007 for a scorpion award [a local musicians award/group] as well for the 3rd time severed serenity was also nominated for best metal ! nominated in 2008 at BC Interior Music Awards for instrumental artist of the year . I had a guitar endorsement from Jackson guitars , ads in Guitar World , with Dave Bonnycastle and myself from Severed Serenity. I have done numerous gigs/shows with both Severed Serenity and Thor over the years . I also engineer and produce albums and have worked on many projects in the past of others and my own projects . I am also a full time Guitar/Music Teacher/Instructor with my teaching studio out of "Bering Guitar Works" @ 1294 ellis street kelowna b.c. if you are intrested in Lessons or some Studio Work {guitar stuff} let me know .
