I am here for Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm now in my 30s and they are just as good as I thought they would be. Everyone is like waaaah the 30s life is over, but here's the secret: the thirties ROCK. You are old enough that people take you seriously and young enough you can still pretty much do everything you did in your twenties. It's the best of both worlds. So stop your crying and your whining and get with it. Moving on, I like to talk and I like to listen and I like to be with people that I don't have to sell myself to in order to get a chance to know them. My two cats are two of the coolest things on four feet and it amazes me how much I love those ungrateful little furballs. My older cat is mean as @#$% and she has really taught me a lot about patience and love. I know that sounds strange but it is true. I believe in God and Jesus Christ and I think that not only believing in God but what you do about Jesus Christ is absolutely *the* most important decision a person can make in their life. And I'm not talking about "going to church", I am talking about having both the head knowledge that Jesus really died for you and rose again, and admitting that you are a sinner (yes you, just like me) and that submitting yourself to Him as the Lord of your life is *essential* and not just something to add to your life. It changes everything, and I mean EVERYTHING.
In other news, I think that thunderstorms are better than sunny days, and naps are one of life's great pleasures. Browsing Barnes and Noble and hanging out with friends at someone's house is ten times better for me than going clubbing or barhopping. In fact I haven't had a drink in over two years and I don't miss drinking or the scene that surrounds it a bit. Believe it or not after all that you may be surprised to learn I have a good sense of humor, if we spend some time together you'll see it :)
P.S. Christ didn't die to give you a nicer house, a better job, and a car to impress the Joneses. He died to give you life.
THIS IS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE RESCUED BY CHRIST

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who understands that you can have fun and enjoy life and STILL TALK ABOUT STUFF THAT MATTERS. I am so sick of everyone being cool until you want to talk about the things that actually make a difference. By the way, I think that religion and politics are just peachy dinner topics among friends. You can now burn me in effigy. Oh yeah, and there are a couple of really nice looking women at my pool. I'd like to meet them. Actually, I have met them because I've gotten pretty good at introducing myself to people. But I want to meet them, not just have the head nod relationship. Ah well.

Also: myself from ten years ago (so I can slap the idiot, drag his sorry self to a good church and get a Bible in his hands and save about a decade's worth of major mistakes and a life with no hope or direction).

Palm Sunday

No, no, no... it's not the day Christians stare closely at their hands in inner contemplation and then high five each other to connect palms and go into a spiritual mind-meld and sing kumbayah.Instead...
