I am here for Friends

About Me

Not quite sure how this happened, but I am the author of TWISTED, SPEAK, CATALYST, PROM, and FEVER 1793. I also write picture books for little kids, who better not be on myspace.
My next book, CHAINS, comes out in September, 2008.
I get bored easily. I live out in the country near Lake Ontario, north of Syracuse, NY. I love winter and hate being hot. I have a quick temper and fought it my whole life. I have amazing dreams.
I'll post here, but you'll find lots more on my LiveJournal.
Check my website, too.
NEWSFLASH!!!! I will not do your homework. High school was bad enough the first time around, thanks. Don't ask me to explain the symbolism in any of my books. I don't know either. I was not an English major.
I still don't know what a "theme" is in literature. I just want to tell good stories.

Words to live by: When life sucks, read. They can't yell at you for that. And if they do, then you can ignore them./br?

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

NEIL GAIMAN!
Gretchen Wilson (doesn't she look like she'd be fun to hang out with?), Elizabeth George, Patrick Stewart, Steven King, J.K. Rowling, Orson Scott Card, Barak Obama, Queen Elizabeth I, the inventor of microwave popcorn, Judy Dench & Helen Mirren (the three of us should go on a wine-tasting tour of Italy), Francesca Lia Block, David Milch, Aaron Sorkin, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Martin Amis.

How to pout and improve your writing at the same time

OK, these writing suggestions are a little basic, I know, but I would like to point out that most of us are stuck at home in our pjs, not living the high life at BEA. So maybe we need to learn a few n...
