About Me

We are a general Martial Arts club of about 100 individuals ranging from ages 7 to 60. Our main focus is on the Dillman Karate International application of pressure point fighting. Within this field of study we teach Ryukyu Kempo Karate, Taekwondo, Small-Circle Jujitsu and Qigong/Taichi.
Grand Master George Dillman
Here is what we teach:
* Basic Principles come first, Balance, Energy Control, Efficient Movement
* Engagement Principles are next, Yin & Yang interaction
* Methods are next, Striking, Locking, Downing, Energy
* Techniques are the final layer, These includes the hand strikes, kicks, joint locks, throws and use of the various energies
Notice the foundation of the art is not at the physical techinique, but at the source of energy or Qi. We start with Qigong and energy development. The ability to use technique effeciently and effectively derives from this ability.
*More to be added...
The Cycle of Creation:
WOOD --- FIRE --- EARTH --- METAL --- WATER
The Cycle of Destruction:
METAL --- WOOD --- EARTH --- WATER --- FIRE

I'd like to meet:

Anyone interested in Martial Arts. We like to meet students from other clubs who are interested in having constructive conversation about the martial arts. We are especially intersted in individuals who live in the Louisville metropolitan area who are either looking for a new school, or a school that has a self-defense perpective on instruction.
