The HEAVEN SENT BAND started 5 years ago by Rick Greene with several freinds. The bands lineup has change over the years to now include some of the d.c. areas best and well knowned singers and musicians. The sound was originally called Gospel Go-Go in which the band still incorporates some of those earlier influences, but has now evolved into a more Soulful Contemporary Urban Sound. Sort of NuGospel if you will. These collection of highly talented musicians and very gifted singer/songwriters has created a sound that now represents their purpose which is to give praise and uplift their listeners. The HEAVEN SENT BAND has been the house band for the very sucessful Open Ear Entertainment Super Sundays Event for over a year now. Come check us out.
