My name is Janine McMahon, I do Hair and Makeup for TV, Film, and photographers, and am always open to working with new people.I live in New York and pretty much limit this page to New York area residents for business reasons. Experimenting with new hair styles and changing with the momentary moods of fashion in an elegant way is fascinating and fun. I find ideas in the east village where I live as much as in magazines, and get inspiration from whomever I'm working with at the time, their bone structure, hair type and clothing available.
A photo should convey a complete idea. If it doesn't, it doesn't work. I like an original idea, that is geared specifically for the shot more than copying a pop star's look. BUT! If that's what's called for that's okay too.Look like the best self you can. Each person has their own beauty, it just has to be made strong.
