Bio:
I’ll try to make this short and sweet cause if your like me you don’t want
to read a novel on line.
The SoulSeekers have been around since around 1995 when a group of Brooklyn
Bee Boy DJs decided to get back into Mixing the House music we loved. We got
really drunk every day, played music really loud till all hours of the night
(no one dared to ask us to lower the music. you dig?) and bassically every night
was a party.
Long story short:
We made some Public TV shows on Manhattan cable (Thanks to a show called "Fun
Films from Phill’s"). Put out a few indi records (Nowhere love on Nervous remixed
by Junior
Vasquez , Peoples Promises on Trust
Life Recordings) ,
Did some Re-mixes and programming work for lables like
Strictly Rhythym
and artists like Duane
Harden ("Don’t
Ever Give Up", released as Innervision feat. Melonie Daniels. Those are Soulseeker
drums and engineering on the original ;).
Then we got lazy and truth be told some of us lost interest in the music industry. But the web site stayed alive and Founding member Tai-eeno Rivera keeped on engineering and pursuing his quest for studio equipment (It’s a problem).
The New SoulSeekers Team:
Long time friend and accomplished producer Moises
Modesto (SolTrenz Records) says "Hey Tai. You Should work with Eddie
Rodriguez of the House Funktion crew out of Newark New Jersey. I think you
guys would make some good music together".
So we hooked up in my studio and gave it a shot. The musical chemestry was
apparent from the get go. We started banging out some good shit right away.
OK it was a little rough around the edges but the ideas were dope! The new
SoulSeeker Production Crew was born!
Duce Martinez (Bass Clef Records), Eddie Rodriguez,
Jose Burgos (Bass Clef Records), Hot Chick, Taino Rivera, Spen
