"Sole Guidance"

You depend on one sole figure for guidance.
Blinded,
By words set upon only to cheat you out of the truth.
Never,
Exposed to definite answers that may open your eyes
To reality.
Still though,
You seem sure of someone else's meaning,
Believing that they have no motive
To hurt you.
You learn not from content but from false context
Developed by others who want to see you
Fail.
Your mind is operated by cheap batteries
They provide.
Never going outside to repair the damages,
Or to refuel your own self with new batteries
So maybe,
You are given the boost you need
To branch out and voice what
You think.
How you feel.
And who you are
As a person, simply enough
An individual human being.
Still though,
You depend on one sole figure for guidance..
