Murder on the Dancefloor was formed in June of 2006 as a four piece Metal band from San Diego California with Kurt Shaffer on vocals, Max Moya on Guitar, Leif Steinmetz on Bass and Chase Ellie on Drums. The band started playing shows by December with bands such as Suicide Silence [Century Media Records], The Faceless [Sumerian Records], Winds of Plague [Century Media Records] and It Dies today [Trustkill Records]. Soon after Chase Ellie Decided to Resign his position on drums and Charles Moya stepped in. The band decided to Change it up a bit letting more of their hardcore influences leak into their music. They are currently working on their second EP Entitled “Midnight Mission of the Suicidal Rabbit†in which they released 2 songs, ’Waken Bake Massacre’ and ’Midnight Mission of the Suicidal Rabbit.’ Prior to this release they put out a Live EP Recorded at Showcase theater.
