About Me

Get updates on all under_score entertainment shows!
I'm a music promoter/booking agent. If you're a band with "originals" and am looking to get booked at a real "live music venue" in Laredo, Texas, feel free to contact me.
I focus on booking bands that have “created” art; that is, a manifested idea from the artists’ souls. Nonetheless, it is the spiritual element of music that ultimately is important. Whether or not the artists have originals is not as important as the value of music itself.
To those that have been booked, and to those that will be booked – we look forward to hearing your art.

I got my nickname "gummi" in 8th grade. It came about when I began to take gummi bears to school. I'd buy them in bulk at a grocery store and then take the 2lb. bag to school everyday. Eventually people began to call me gummi bear. Over the years it has shortened to just - gummi - oddly enough, however, some people still don't know my real name.
I'm just a simple, quiet guy who loves to listen to music and write. I support a number of organizations including:
LIVESTRONG
One.org
Sierra Club
United Nations Foundation
to name a few. I encourage everyone to help make a difference in the world by participating in whatever manner they think is best.
As a lover of music and a supporter of local bands, I also like to invite everyone to check out these sites. They are only a few of the local (Laredo,Texas) bands that I have seen and enjoyed. Music = Life, and as such, we must support our local musicians as much as possible. Regardless of what you may think of their music, we must appreciate and applaud their efforts in entertaining us and doing what they love to do.

Sylvia Smiles
and campfire embers
dance inside me
from side to side
down brittle bones
to the gullies
of freshwater that run
to my chest
where they rest basking
in her warmness
and the altruistic nature
that defines her
when she does
One Too Many Times
If not for the children, I would have left.
These knotty, purple reminders of your
love I have hidden, leave me strained, bereft
of any dignity. Still, I endure
this pain, and manage to live with this lie
for their sake. I see their faces-glassy
eyes, trembling lips, furrowed eyebrows. They cry
in their bedrooms every night secretly,
perhaps, like me, praying you change; and so
I have decided my dear husband, they
must not suffer my fate, and even though
I love you, understand why we can't stay.
In the morning you will not find us here,
for love should bring eternal joy, not fear.
Lost
She speaks of bourbon like a proud mother
when they played in Evans Park
on the rickety, rusted
swings and frolicked naked at midnight 'round
hedgerows and muddy holes
while the whistling wind of
Fall pulled the dresses of young, white ashes
like a pesky child.
She stares at the wall-mounted television
and gnarls her hands 'round the bottle's head
to pour blood into the glass
she adopted for the night.
The pish of wet sneakers pacing the old mahogany
floors reminds her it's still raining
like the night he went away
from Evans Park and
could not be found.
She looked 'round the ashes,
between the hedgerows and the rickety, rusted
swings
but he was gone.
The night growled, pulling on its chains
to tell her where he was
but she was gone,
back to the faithful companion who reminded her
he was once at Evans Park.
She pours another glass.
As the bourbon and ice wait
to race down her throat and lace the memories
she cannot forget, she stares out the window
onto Evans Park where she left him
hoping to see him on the rickety, rusted
swings or running 'round the ashes
or hiding between the hedgerows
but he was gone.
She stares at the wall-mounted television
and grips the faithful bottle with boney hands,
skin like canvas stretched 'round
a skeletal frame worn by age, by it,
whom she swallowed and who made her forget
he was once at Evans Park
playing on the rickety, rusted
swings.
Natural
I sit in your moist smile,
sink into your dimples
tan from your glow
and you laugh
While water beetles and ladybugs
wade around grass blades
dewy from the morning's chill
A chorus of crickets sing soprano
a quartet of dog barks accompany them
ravens play musical chairs
on nearby Spanish oaks
and like a hummingbird
I sip the water from your smile
and you laugh
