Team I.A.M. (Illness Always Manifested) consists of Arsun Fist and Em Eye See as its core members. We also have extended members such as Acid Reign AKA Apollo, who can be heard on Reasonable Doubt and Troubled Man, and Boogz and Ayyo who you will here on future projects. The term "Illness Always Manifested" means what ever you do, be the best at it. Illness Always Manifested iz also a combination of ill production, rapid fire flow, and high energy live shows. Team I.A.M. feels that through their music they manifest the best in themselves as a team. When you say "I.A.M.", it takes away the box society puts us in. For example, I am an Emcee, I am a man, I am a women, I am some ones brother, son, husband, etc All these things make up who are as a person and the possibilities are endless, so you really cant be defined. Hence you just are or I AM. This is also a reflection of the music Team I. A. M. makes. Arsun Fist & Em Eye See as a cohesive unit embody this philosophy wholeheartedly. Arsun is basically my way of saying that Im prone to set flames musically while Fist is just a metaphor for the pound of respect that I have for the culture of Hip Hop. Em Eye See (Mic/Mike), it all relevant. First and for most, my music iz food for the soul, so don't just listen, come get a plate! I write about my reality, how I see things, and how it affects my life and the people around me. We call our style "Homegrown Intelligence." Reason being, the areas I grew up in didn't have the mainstream outlets to adapt your style to unless you mimicked so-called commercial artists on TV (Fuck that!!). So we had to develop our own style. It's like a gumbo of sorts, being born in FL, raised in CT, became a man in SC, and now a Grown Ass Man in MD/DC, you have to incorporate all these style in. So from that "Homegrown Intelligence" was born. The motto/label iz "The Train Don't Stop," which comes from the trails and tribulations that we have overcome on this musical road less traveled. No matter what, keep it moving!!
Currently we are working on the T.D.S.Vol.1, A Struggle 2 Get Deep (Arsun Fist Solo), and A Dream Deferred (EM Eye See Solo). We have performed with the likes of DMX, Lil Kim, 112, Big Daddy Kane, and Gangstar, plus our own showcases through out the east coast. So all aboard the train and we hope you enjoy the Team I.
