Advertisements, popular entertainment, public architecture are natural expressions of the unconscious desires of the "dreaming collective." the following is an exerpt from daniel pinchbeck's book, breaking open the head. i have to agree with his analysis and i believe we are living in a time when awareness is at an all-time low, at least in the case of values and environmental awareness. slowly but surely our nation is waking up and shaking off the dust of ignorance and begining to take responsibility for our actions. this will not happen quickly, in fact, it will take a constant effort to keep from slipping back into our old ways, but i do have faith in our species. if we all work together to make a continuous improvements to our daily lives, our nation will one day be great again, something we can take pride in. the key to this success is for everyone to use their own sets of skills as intelligently as possible and continue to think globally while acting locally (thanks pauly shore). never give up the fight."Education is a social process . . .
