Rosa Anastacia White is a writer/director/producer getting her feet wet in the entertainment industry. Born and raised in Dover, DE, Rosa was the only girl of three children. At an early age her grandparents, a retired teacher and African American Literature Professor, involved her and their other grandchildren in their children’s theatre group "The Neighborhood Kids". This involvement with theatre is where her passion for story telling began. As a teenager Rosa was heavily into sports, excelling in basketball and track and field.
While at Caesar Rodney High School she lead her Track team to two state championships, four conference championship, and was named first team all-state three years in a row. This impressive record landed her an athletic scholarship at the University of New Orleans in Louisiana. While at UNO she majored in Communications with a concentration in Film Production and screen writing. While at UNO she was able to mange a full time class schedule, the demands of track, join Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, and maintain a 3.3 GPA.
At the start of her senior year Rosa was one of the many people affected and displaced by Hurricane Katrina. She over came her devastating loss and emotional tragedy by focusing ..ing school and expressing herself through film. She purchased a video camera and began documenting everything and everyone around her. After finishing her BA in the Fall of 2005 moved back to Dover, DE and formed the multi-media production company Retrospect Entertainment. Rosa then spent the following two years working as freelance videographer in Washington D.C and Atlanta producing new-media web content, interviewing entertainment industry professionals and artists, covering high profile events, and short narratives and documentaries for hire.
She moved to New York in the fall of 2007 and got a job at Nicktoons Network in the On Air Promo department. Now at the age of 23 Rosa ready to start carving out her place in the entertainment by being dedicated to making meaningful works that influence and move her audience.
