Hey! How's it going? Probably if you're visiting my profile, you already know me, so here are some updates:Of course, I'm pretty proud of my heritage.
I've just recently changed jobs. I'm now working full time in customer relations at an auto dealership. That means I print forms and have customers sign them. I also file some paperwork. Waitressing in the bar was more fun, but the hours are better and my health and weight have already improved. Plus, having benefits is nice for a change, even if they don't kick in for a couple of months :) I am no longer working at JC Penney's either.
My youngest sister Katie just got engaged last month and already has bridesmaid dresses/shoes and her own wedding dress picked out!! She has set the date and reserved the spot for the ceremony and reception. So I guess I'll be taking another trip back to Spokane near the end of summer next year.
On a more somber note, I recently visited Washington for my grandma's funeral. She developed an aggressive cancer and was only in the hospital for about a week. I'm thankful that she was not in pain for long, but will miss her greatly. She played a large part in my life and I can only hope to be a fraction of the positive force that she was. So many people were impacted by her kindness that it was a little overwhelming how full her memorial service was (standing room only). As she lived in Washington State with most of the rest of my family, I went there for a few days before and after the funeral. It was nice to be around family because we were all going through the same things and knew how to comfort each other. On the more positive side of life, my younger sister, Nicki, married Kevin May 30th. This was also in Washington, and my husband, Trevor and I were there for about a week. My other sister Katie and I are were bridesmaids in the wedding, and my brother Kelley was a groomsman. After the wedding we did some sightseeing @ the bowl and pitcher in the Spokane River. We got some good pictures
Also, we've booked a vacation for Disneyworld, Florida in December with my mother-in-law, Connie, and our niece, Vanessa. We're pretty excited about the Animal Kingdom Lodge we're staying at. It has a balcony view of a private wildlife reserve that contains many African animals. We've all been to Disneyworld before, except Vanessa, but are really looking forward to going back. I'm a pretty thorough vacation planner, so I'm looking into possibly buying a guidebook and am trying to find a portable list of restaurant options for the parks and resorts. If you would like to or are already planning a trip to Florida around the same time, please let me know and I'll be happy to meet up with you or give you more details.
