Hello my name is Josh, and I'm currently sixteen years old as of March 11th. Despite my name, I do not consider myself a whore. The meaning in my screen name is purely sentimental. My friend used to call me this before he passed away, a victim of suicide. He was lied to one too many times, and it is such a tragedy. This is the major reason that I cannot stand lies of any sort. I currently attend high school in Idaho; I am a junior. I'm rather far from normal, and I'm sure you will be quick to find out that I don't lie when I say this. First off I'm gay. Sorry girls, that means I like bois. I came to this realization in the sixth grade, and have hidden it up until recently. Luckily, I have many friends and family members that support me no matter what, making my life a lot nicer. Secondly, I am not the most wealthy person you will ever meet. I am very open about this, not because I want you to sympathize with me (that is the last thing I want), it is because I believe that you should get to know me for me, and not for material. Material possessions mean little to me. I use them every day, yes, however, I do not believe they are necessary. I would have no qualms about relinquishing my possessions for any reason. One of my aspirations as the young adult that I am, is that of becoming a vegetarian. I am trying desperately to cut down on my consumption of meat. My family is one that eats meat, yes, however whenever I can avoid it, I will. Animals are here for our comfort, and not for our slaughter. Not to say that I couldn't just easily say "no" and not eat it, but if I do not eat meat, I am afraid I would surely become underweight, as I cannot exactly afford alternatives. Don't think of me as weak, because I'm not. I fight every day of my life for my beliefs, and I don't need anyone coming into my life and telling me I'm wrong. Beliefs are just that, beliefs, and everyone is entitled to them. I'm not going to scorn you for your beliefs, unless you do likewise for me. There is no reason why we can't seriously just all get along. It's not that difficult, sorry to say. People are just ignorant, that's one reason why I have trust issues. I don't know that many people that I can truly trust, and I do have to say I cannot stand ignorant people. I know I can't change everyone, but one at a time, I want to make the world a better place, and show people that being ignorant and being arrogant is useless and purely selfish. Why not give instead of receive? When you give a gift, you aren't just giving a gift to someone, you are giving a gift to yourself. You have done something good in your life, and you should be very proud. I try to give as much as I can to anyone in need. If I have excess of any material items, I try to give these things to people who might actually use them. It is wrong to be greedy, and that is another main fault in our society. Everything is based around money and monetary value. This corruption really makes me realize how lucky I am to have the views that I do. I am not corrupted by money, and for that I am very grateful. I was not raised in a family in which money was important. Love was always the number one thing to have. As long as you have love, you are the richest person on this earth. Don't let money fool you, all it is is paper, nothing more. So I suppose I should cut this short now, as many of you will not read.
