I am a crazed graduate student studying religion in Modern Japan. Six years ago I met my husband to be in a summer Japanese Language class (my first!)... Two years later we were married and moving to Japan with the JET program. We lived in Chiba City, Japan for two years and then returned to California. I've been making it back to Japan for language study/ research trips every summer... Last summer I went to Okazaki City to study at the Yamasa Institute, and this summer I went to the ultra glamorous and high tech Yokohama City to study at the IUC Program. I met lots of wonderful people who are also studying Japan, and hope to meet many of them again in the future. Now I'm back in California after another year in grad school, trying to find another way back to Japan.
