If you have any dignity, apologize to the rice right now!

About Me

I work full-time at the Embassy Suites as a bellman (which basically entails delivering luggage & driving a shuttle bus, but tips help out & for once I don't have a condescending arrogant prick for a manager). Art is my forte. I honestly could care less if you hate/despise/detest (insert choice of verb) me. My family & friends come first. My interests: drawing, reading, concerts/shows, the ocean (if I'm near it), spicy food, sleeping in, digital photography, listening & watching the rants of Lewis Black, Mojitos, watching movies & writing reviews, & reading/learning about the human conscience.

My Interests

At the risk of sounding repetitive, check out that "About Me" box.

I'd like to meet:

Unless you're just a bona fied psychopath (in which case, get the hell away from me & check your ass back into Bellvue or whatever mental institute you escaped from), I enjoy mingling with pretty much anyone. I'm the most comfortable around anyone who doesn't feel an obligation to be someone or something they're not.

Music:

Nine Inch Nails (I'm a junkie. Favorite band ever), Deftones, Filter, TOOL, A Perfect Circle, Rage Against The Machine, Fear Factory, Soulfly, Devildriver, KMFDM, Combichrist, Videodrone, Bloodsimple, Gravity Kills, Death From Above 1979, Vision Of Disorder, Atari Teenage Riot, Strapping Young Lad, Ministry, Hanin Elias, Garbage, VAST, Tricky, U2 (preferrably old), Portishead, Poe, Muse, Goldfrapp, Hooverphonic, Icarus Line, Refused, My Bloody Valentine, Mogwai, Massive Attack, Charlie Clouser, Rob Dougan, Moby (some), Depeche Mode, Conjure One, The Cure, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam (old), Alice In Chains, Faith No More, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Tears For Fears, Joy Division, Peter Gabriel, John Murphy, Fantomas, Team Sleep, Cypress Hill, Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Run D.M.C., Saul Williams, The Roots, EL-P, NAS, Gnarls Barkley, Peeping Tom, Outkast, N.E.R.D., DJ Shadow, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Crystal Method, etc, etc...I'm always keeping my ears open to new or old material.

Movies:

Classic 70's & 80's movies are my favorite, but I enjoy contemporary films as well. Character studies, revenge flicks, horror, sci-fi, dark comedies, satire, martial arts. Stuff along the lines of: The Godfather, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Reservoir Dogs, Halloween, Se7en, Alien, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), Taxi Driver, The Hitcher (1986), Natural Born Killers, 28 Days Later, The Terminator, The Brood, The Wicker Man (1973), Videodrome, Phantasm, Heat (1995), The Matrix, True Romance, Hard Boiled, Once Upon A Time In America, Mean Streets, Goodfellas, Falling Down, Memento, The French Connection, Dirty Harry, Following, Narc, Man On Fire, The Long Good Friday, Thief (1981), Robocop, Collateral, Leon: The Professional, Children Of Men, The Killer, Die Hard movies, Shogun Assassin, Enter The Dragon, Predator, Evil Dead I & II, Gojira (aka Godzilla), The Silence Of The Lambs, Hellraiser, Infernal Affairs, Death Wish, The Thin Red Line, Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), Bad Santa, Office Space, Hot Fuzz blah blah blah... This list could go on forever. I love practically everything by Martin Scorsese, Michael Mann, Christopher Nolan, David Fincher & David Cronenberg. I also love the work of John Carpenter, Quentin Tarantino, John Woo, Edgar Wright, the Coens, Don Coscarelli & countless others.

Television:

I loathe it for the most part. A few favorites include: The X-Files, Oz, Chappelle's Show, South Park, Ren & Stimpy & Miami Vice (guilty pleasure--favorite show ever). Right now I'm diggin' Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I'll stop on AMC, Turner South, Comedy Central or the Discovery Channel if I do happen to be channel surfing.

Books:

Some favorite authors/writers include Aldous Huxley, Dante, Friedrich Nietzsche, Clive Barker, Stephen King, Thomas Harris, Douglas Preston, Ryan Mecum, Garth Ennis, etc...

Heroes:

John McClane of course.
