Al Majik is one of the most hard working DJ/promoters in Scotland right now. After racking up over 100 gigs in the last two years, he’s showing no signs of slowing down for 2009. He currently holds two residencies in Edinburgh as well as playing guest DJ sets accross Scotland. His style is a refreshing blend of breaks, electro, and house with a hint of drum and bass.
He co-promotes and DJs at top breakbeat night Az-Tech with fellow beat junkies; Siren & Re:Tox. Az-Tech takes place six times a year at one of DJ Mags top 100 venues in the world, The Caves. Attracting crowds of 400+, Az-Tech has firmly established itself as one of breakbeats most exciting clubnights. This night has given Al the opportunity to support a whole host of international artists including Backdraft, Baobinga & ID, Far Too Loud and Hexadecimal.
Al also holds down a monthly residency at Edinburgh's busiest breaks/drum & bass night Split. Split has been the number one Tuesday clubnight in Edinburgh for 6 years now. Al can be found playing breaks in the mainroom.
Alongside Chubby Cox, Al also used to be resident and promoter of Siren at The Hive until it finished in 2008. This was a side project that gave up and coming DJs the chance to play a headline slot in one of Edinburgh's main clubs.
