However, he has approved this site and I am in contact with him.Ron Geesin, born on the 17th of December in 1943, into a middle class Scottish family. Ron grew up to be one of Britain’s most influential musicians and composers. He is most noted for his works with Pink Floyd, especially in their 1970 album Atom Heart Mother. In that album Ron orchestrated and helped compose parts of the Atom Heart Mother Suite. Ron first collided with Pink Floyd’s bassist Roger Water’s trough a common love of golf amongst other similarities. The two collaborated to create the music for medical documentary called, “The Body”. Thus the album which came of it was called, “music from The Body”.After Ron’s first solo album in 1967 entitled “A Raise of Eyebrows”, Geesin became a revolutionary being one of the first people to launch their own on man record companies. He named the company, “Headscope”. He then continued to release many other albums via his newly made company. These albums would include, “As He Stands”, “Patruns”, “Right Through”. In 1990 it released albums such as, “Funny Frown” and “Bluefuse” blending and melting modern technology with their appropriated sounds. In 1994 record company, Cherry Red Records released an album called, “Hystery”, which was an overview of his work. In 1995 Cleopatra Records released his “Land of Mist” CD, and in that same year See for Miles Records re-released his first two vinyl albums on CD. In 2003 Headscope re-released Right Through, with a new title of, “Right Though - and Beyond”. The new CD included unissued material and a Sour New Years Suite.Geesin has long been interested in the potential for environmental sound and video installations. In 1970 he produced a sound-work for the British pavilion at the Osaka world fair. During the 1990s, he collaborated with the artist Ian Breakwell on video projects such as the large-scale work Auditorium.Ron Geesin is currently, and has been for the past 2 years, working on a book about the “adjustable spanner” or as most of us call it, a wrench. His collection has grown to over 2000 adjustable spanners. He studies their infinite numbers of designs and corresponding functions. Working title for this creation, “A History of the Adjustable Spanner in the UK”.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
