..The Museum of Ephemerata was revived from a previous collection of the same name in 1999 in Tucson, Arizona. Since our move to Austin five years ago, the Museum has unfurled into two galleries and a parlor - curled into an East Austin house like a hermit crab in its adopted shell.
We offer weekly open hours , host evening tour events with local musicians and filmmakers (Lori 16mm Varga), and tour as a traveling show at local coffeeshops and bars. Our goals as an organization are to involve the public in curation, to represent histories of collection, and to experiment with the forms and locations of exhibition.
