About Me

I started as a DJ like most of us. Open houses, fifteens, the occasional wedding, and the pep-a-rallies but it was creating those mix tapes for the Hialeah High Cheerleaders that I enjoy the most.It wasn’t until late 1995 the underground "rave" music scene had already been globally expanded. Producers in regions such as Australia, South Africa, and Asia were taking suite in creating their own cultures' version of electronic music. It was then that my passion for creating my own sounds and incorporating this new style of music with our own Miami flavor.During this historical era we founded 7 Milez of Muzik out of Miami- FL. The concept was driven by a well-known landmark named the Seven Mile Bridge which runs on a stretch of highway overseas connecting the Florida Keys to the rest of America. In this Highway in the middle of the ocean and with the help of some powerful mind altering substances, fueled by early albums from groups such as Meat beat Manifesto, Prodigy, and Future Sound of London; and genres such as reggae and Miami style bass- we developed our own distinct sound within the break-beat and down-tempo genres. In 1996 the makeshift and garage type studio that became our first “lab” was already underway and any studio equipment obtained during that time was used to its full capability to create our first experimental tracks. It was there that the first 2 track, "Equal Power" and "Vertigo" where completed and then released the first records were released under Insomniac/Nappz records. "Equal Power" was the most sought after track and became an instant classic, selling over one thousand records in the first week. Following releases where "Fear" and "Meltdown" also released under the same label all these tracks obtained great reviews in the electronic scene and various publications.Later in 1999 the construction of the second studio, began and took almost a year to be completed. Like in the previous one we could not have done it with out all the help and support of all of our family and friends. While some donated things like cement and concrete blocks among other things, others would be working there giving us a hand building this thing from the ground up.Now with more space including a small vocal booth the new studio demanded more gear, equipment and time. It was from this location in 2001 that Al (A.K.A. Neurosis) composed and released "From the Other Side/Dessert Winds" released under Sound Records in 2001.In the years that followed the electronic and Florida break scene better known to some of us as the “rave scene” came to a halt. The break scene it self almost disappeared. Negotiations started to fail with record labels since DJs weren’t buying breaks as much. Is then when I decided it was time to make music for myself. In the next couple of years Neurosis and I played with other experimental styles of music, experimenting with live instrument and percussion, implementing new hard ware and other production tools. Now more underground than ever we where able to mature musically achieving a distinctive sound unparalleled to none. This new style of breaks we call “ELECTRO FUSSION” which is also the name of the Live P.A. and the new album we are working on. ELECTRO FUSSIONS combines the traditional electro sounds with a progressive flare to enhance the dark qualities of style. The use of unconventional sounds and editing styles can be most appreciated on the dance floor. This new sound and the Seven Mile Bridge state of mind will introduce a new following to the yesteryear underground music scene. Be on the look out for up coming releases and performances I promise you!!!!!!!!!
