Ruben and Sally are a brother/sister act from Nashville, TN, and South TX, collectively. Both are published writers, and have recorded professionally for many years. They have teamed up for the first time and are now recording together as GarciaGarcia under Red Horse Records Nashville. The diversity of this project, consisting of tunes all written by GarciaGarcia, showcases the GarciaGarcia signature sound with a blend of Rock en Espanol, reggae, Pop, Salsa---even a touch of Country.
It follows their '06 Christmas CD project which sold exclusively through the HEB grocery chain in various parts of Texas. The CD was a tribute to the South Texas snow storm phenomenon of 2004. (It had never snowed on Christmas eve in South Texas as far as recorded history goes). They also performed several shows with the Corpus Christi Symphony (under the direction of Lee Gwodztz-Conductor). The theme song "Let the Snow Fall on South Texas," written by GarciaGarcia and fellow-Texan and Los Angeles screenplay writer, Clark Childers, was arranged as a symphonic score by New York composer, Eugene Gwodztz. Ruben and Sally also have their own production company known as RUPIK Productions, LLC, and RUPIK Music Publishing in Nashville.
