PHLATLINE SOUND has five crew members. Since 1999 LIKKLE T & TOLEE have been working one’s way up to the top of German soundsystems. The two rapidly became one of Germanys most popular soundsystems. Referring to their marvellous gigs, Phlatline Sound received a good reputation soon. With their excellent performances, a mixture of reggae, dancehall, soca and r´n´b, they perfectly understand rocking every crowd.
The operator TOLEE actually originates from the electronic dub scene. In 1996 he released his debut album called “tol.trap†on the label “Rastermusic.†Currently, his new album “tol.shang†is published. TOLEE already gathered his first dj experiences within dub and roots reggae in 1990.
LIKKLE T adds to Phlatline with his tight skills at the turntables and his outstanding musical understanding. LIKKLE T got an individual feeling for putting on the hottest and latest tunes. Since 1999 he has been establishing a good reputation in the matter of being selectah.
KING DAWDA from Gambia also contains to Phlatline Sound. He is the perfect party MC and because of him the crowd always gets the right amount of energy in every dancehall. He is a co-respondent, wherefore people enjoy Phlatline Sound till the morning light come through.
Another new member is PHIL. The half Cuban actually collects a lot of experiences in cross the boards of deejaying and mceeing over a period of 4 years as soundbwoy in a local soundsystem. Referring to that, PHIL is versatile as MC and selectah.
Further on, the radio selectah JUNIOR K belongs to the Phlatline Sound crew, too. There is a weekly radio show called UPTOWN TOPRANKING (www.uptowntopranking.de) at a local radio station called RADIO T (102.7). Every wednesday from 21.00 – 22.00 JUNIOR K and LIKKLE T present the latest reggae-, dancehall-, soca-tunes and Phlatline Sound exclusives to their fans. The radio show also serves as promotion for the regular dance called DOUBLE TROUBLE. Therefore, the CUBE CLUB in Chemnitz is Phlatline Sounds homebase. Every month, soundsystems are invited to play alongside Phlatline and to establish a good relationship supporting the reggae culture in Saxony.
