Music, Movies, Video Games, Basketball, Reading, Philosophy, Travel, Wine, History, Science... anything that keeps my brain occupied.
I've already met the girl of my dreams.
I DON'T want to meet anyone who takes themselves too seriously. Life is funny; learn to laugh at yourself.
I never like anything the first time I hear it, and I can't listen to music I like and talk or listen to someone else at the same time. This really pisses people off when they are trying to talk to me and a song I like comes on. I base what I listen to on my taste, not how esoteric it is.
Against my own desire I am becoming a film snob, and I don't even watch that many movies. I WISH I could enjoy all the action/special effects/remake/product tie-in crap that comes out these days but I just can't. I like movies that don't take themselves seriously, or actually have something important to say.
If I turn on the TV and there is nothing on Comedy Central, The History Channel, or The Discovery Channel and no basketball, I usually turn it right back off. I refuse to watch LOST, Alias, 24, CSI:Wherever or Sex in the City. Don't get me started on 24-Hour news networks. If you ever quote The Simpsons around me I will probably correct the quote and go on to quote at least three other lines from the same episode.
When I was younger I read through every Tom Clancy book ever published. Now I am the butt of my own jokes for it (but continue to read the new books he releases). More recently I have liked Harry Turtledove, Jules Vern, Arthur C. Clarke, The Age of Reason, 1984, A Clockwork Orange.
Thomas Paine, Steven Hawking, John Stewert, Steven Colbert.
