Lit is a band of mass superiority. in the 90's, there had been a mass extinction of talent. people were weeping in their sleep for a band to sweep them off their feet. well, it seemed as if the people's cry was heard. in the 1900's there were 4 people.. these people, if you can call them that, were like Rock 'n' Roll saints. they strived in the areas of guitar.. bass.. drums.. and vocals. it seemed like they were the most perfect combination when looked upon. they sounded like sweet harmony. you see, the band is: A.Jay Popoff - vocals, Allen Shellenberger - drums, Kevin Baldes - bass, and Jeremy Popoff - guitar. in 1999, after years of radding (a very hard sport that most of us are not capable of), they had their hit explosion. no, this was not your typical "hit explosion".. this was the best, and the last hit explosion of the 1900's! they saved Rock 'n' Roll that year.
now, you may be asking yourself "what about the other years?" well, that is simply a joke, for a Lit description can surely not be fitted into one paragraph. sp, in the new millennium, an album of the name "Atomic" grasped all of our brains into one huge ball of amazement. why? because this record was of extremities. it is hard to explain the greatness of these records, for they are beyond my comprehension; however, if there is one thing i knew in this world, it was that this band, would not be over with.
in the summer of 2004, glory was shown upon us as before. here it came, the self-titled Lit record. some tried to criticize this record, but even the rudest critics of all failed. it made rappers hide in their shell of clothes as if they were turtles. it made emo bands drop their razors. it made everyday people like us stare at the sound waves of glory miraculously.
everyone, please find it in your hearts to pray for Allen in his time of need. thank you.
