About Me

Disclaimer: Amy Kielmeyer says I must edit my profile to help keep everyone on the same page regarding the life and times of Michael Peter Engelhart. It seems that she feels that my profile must change due to major life events occurring in the last 2 years that are not represented in my cute little 'about me' section. Therefore, when reading my 'about me' section on this 'myface' thing you kids are always talking about, please keep in mind that I have neglected to update it for quite some time. Therefore, you may not be able to get to know me as well as you all thought. Now I know that this is a bit unfair, and yes I am deliberately cheating you all out of the me you know doubt would adore, but I am sure you will manage:)jk lolI have recently graduated the University of North Dakota with a B.A. in Anthropology after a few years in the military and another few in limbo. I am attending the University of Wyoming for graduate studies in Physical Anthropology, specifically, paleoanthropology. Summers living in a tent and putting on hiking boots every morning are the best. I like snakes, I am allergic to cats and dogs (really allergic to cats). I enjoy wildlife, and occasionally hunt, but usually only with a camera. I like to garden, like to can my own food, and I especially like my soon to be famous habenero pickled carrots (amazing in sushi). I speak Korean, less and less every day with no practice, but I still have occasional dreams in Korean, so I am still confident in picking it back up again should the need, desire, and time permit that. I like cooking without recipes. I like teaching my boys how to be boys (2 of them, 5 and 8 years old). I am a fan of bourbons, whiskeys, and scotches--Irish whiskey (Jameson) being my current libation of choice. I like mowing the lawn and don't care to wonder why that is so. Roadtrips are the best, especially with CAT STEVENS or the sound track to Ghostbusters II in the old cassette deck. I play a little guitar, but who doesn't? I enjoy it, that's all that matters. I am genuinely shocked and worried when people say they hate what they do for a living-- time to check your priorities. My friends are my family and I am really lucky to have so many good ones. I have been known to have some really amazing acquaintences as well, but I couldn't tell you their names-- well, maybe first names, but certainly not their last names, but I will always smile at them and give a generic greeting like "Hey--buddy." Honestly, I am just a good guy, taking it easy, really enjoying life.
