www.hostdrjack.comBelow is a slide show of our little boy Robbie who we lost to cancer on Dec.11th of 1997. He was only 3 yrs. of age when we found out. It was a week after his third birthday I can remember that...cause I kept looking at his third birthday party pics. and would say to myself, I just don't get it...he looked so happy and healthy. There was no clue or sign at the time that he even had it. I do know that the day the Drs. told us that Robbie had cancer was the day I wanted to die...and the day my life changed forever. Robbie was diagnoased with Rhabdomyosarcoma, stage 4. It's a rare kind of rapid growing cancer. His entire chest cavity was filled with tumors...and it was starting to close of his wind pipe to the point he was in pain when ever he would try to eat. He was running a very high temp and his stomach was pooched out and hard. After many treatments of chemo, hospital stays, and a stem cell transplant...we were able to get him into remission after a very long two years and much suffering on Robbie's part. Robbie had a year of remission and we were never more happier in our lives to see him healthy and happy and finally going off to kindergarden. But near the end of the school year his teacher noticed Robbie laying his head down on his desk...and she asked what was wrong and he said he had been having bad headaches. On his next trip to the Drs. we was given the horrible news that Robbie's cancer was back. And this time it was much worse and it was everywhere...even in his bones. For six long months Robbie fought so hard to beat this horrible disease but his little body just couldn't take no more. The tumors was taking over his little body and even growing up over his little teeth that he couldn't even eat anymore. He had to have liquid nutrition through his port. He was also on a morphine pump so he didn't have to suffer much from pain. On the morning of Dec. 11th around 3:30 am Robbie lay between my husband and me on our bed and I had to tell Robbie to take Jesus' hand and to go on home to heaven before he would let go. His little spirit fought to the very end to stay with us...but his poor little body just couldn't take anymore. At 3:55 am on the morning of Dec. 11th Robbie went home to be with Jesus. I for one will never be the same since the day Robbie came into my life and showed me what real love was all about. My son....you have truely earned your angel wings and may you soar high above the clouds where there are no sickness, no pain and suffering. Only love, happiness, and eternal life with God, Jesus ,and all God's angels. I love and miss you my Robbie every single day I walk this earth,but I know in my heart when it's my time, I will see you again...and this time it will be forever!
